Pencils

For the production of pencil and coloured crayon Tylose® is used as a binder and plasticiser. The lead of the crayon achieves a higher flexibility and a higher braking strength due to the use of Tylose®. A further advantage is the high compatibility of Tylose® in combination with all other raw materials used.

We recommend Tylose® H and MC (MHEC/MHPC) grades with a low to medium viscosity level.

Further applications

Further applications

Tylose® has numerous advantageous properties such as thickening, water retention, adhesion, binding, plasticising, film forming, gelling and surface tension modifying. Utilising these properties makes Tylose® a highly suitable additive for many applications.
