Roll-on deodorants / Antiperspirant

Deodorants are substances applied to the body to act against body odour caused by bacterial growth. A sub-group of deodorants, antiperspirants, affect odour as well as prevent sweating. Deodorants combined with antiperspirant agents frequently include aluminium compounds such as aluminium chloride or chlorohydrate. The different types of deodorants are based on different preparations. Sprays contain, in most cases, active ingredients which are soluble in alcohol. The formulations of roll-on deodorants are derived from the spray compositions but with adjusted consistency.

Because of the good compatibility with salts and alcohol, Tylose® H grades can be used as a thickener in deodorants / antiperspirants to adjust the requested viscosity. Medium viscosity Tylose® grades are recommended.

Personal and Home Care

In Personal and Home Care formulations the most important properties of Tylose® are thickening effect, respectively consistency regulation, stabilisation and high compatibility

with other ingredients such as surfactants.
